About art night communications:

I use a google group to send art night communications, and I (Izzy) am the only person who can see group members’ contact info. The only things I send are:

• a monthly calendar invite with location and theme details
• a monthly email reminder
• if necessary, updates about changes or cancellations to upcoming art nights.

This is part of an evolving process of trying to streamline communication while maintaining folks’ privacy. If you have any questions, concerns, comments, suggestions, fart jokes, whatever, let me know!

WHAT I BRING

• Paint (acrylic + watercolor)
• Color pencils, markers, pens, oil pastels
• Various types + colors of paper, mini canvases
• Polymer clay
• Block printing stuff
• Spirograph drawing thingies
• A mini loom + potholder-making kit
• Coloring + drawing books
• Fidgets + toys

WHAT YOU BRING

• Yourself
• Drinks/snacks, if you wanna have something to drink/snack on
• If you’re working on a specific project and/or want to share your own art supplies, feel free to bring them!

UPDATE:

Since April, I’ve been asking everyone to take a rapid COVID test on the day of the event (either take it before you arrive and show me a picture, or take it when you arrive—I have plenty of tests available)! Masking is still not required, but I have plenty on hand for those who want them.

This new requirement came in recognition that COVID is still a very real threat to the safety of our communities ❤️ If you have questions or concerns about this change (or if you have thoughts on how to make these events even safer), let me know!

ACCESS NOTES

• My apartment is a 2nd floor walkup; there is 1 set of stairs and no elevator.
• I ask everyone to take a rapid COVID test on the day of or before the event (either take it before you arrive and show me a picture or take it when you arrive—I have plenty of tests! Masking is not required, but I have plenty of those too!
• I have a cat baby, Kali, who is very silly. She might come up and sniff you, but mostly she’ll probably snooze nearby or in my room the whole time. I have hella zertec for anyone who needs it 😸
